Claremont Masters Swimming Club is the proud host of the 2009 Xstrata Nickel Swim Thru Perth, to be held in the Swan River on Sunday 18th January 2009.
 
This event is the oldest open water swimming race in Australia with 2009 marking the 90th anniversary of this historic event. The 2009 Xstrata Nickel Swim Thru Perth will feature 2.2km and 4km swims.

Congratulations to Charlotte Bidwell who has won the Groper of the Month award for March 2008. Charlotte is cited for demonstrating true Groper grit at club races after she vomited (in the toilets) from lactic acid build-up, shrugged it off and kept racing!
